Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Admission Yogi collects, uses, and protects information when students, families, counselors, and other visitors use our website and college-planning services.

What Admission Yogi does

Admission Yogi helps students and families plan for college earlier and with more clarity. The product may show readiness guidance, pathway recommendations, college exploration tools, scholarship resources, profile-building suggestions, and planning tasks based on information a user chooses to provide.

Our goal is to use information responsibly to make the service useful, not to collect more than we need.

Information you provide

When you create or use an account, we may collect basic account details such as name, email address, account identifier, role, and login-related information handled through our authentication provider.

To personalize guidance, we may collect student planning information that you enter, such as grade level, high school state or preferred state, target schools, GPA or GPA scale, SAT/ACT scores or targets, academic preferences, activities, profile details, pathway choices, saved colleges, scholarship interests, and similar college-planning information.

If a counselor uses Admission Yogi with a student, we may store counselor-related account details and the association between the counselor and student account so the counselor can support that student.

Information collected automatically

Like most web applications, we may collect limited technical information such as device/browser type, pages visited, approximate usage events, timestamps, and error or diagnostic information. This helps us understand whether the site is working, improve the product, and fix issues.

We may use analytics and product-improvement tools to understand general usage patterns. We do not use this information to sell student data.

Payments and bookings

If you purchase a subscription or session, payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Admission Yogi may store payment status, plan, subscription identifiers, checkout/session identifiers, renewal or cancellation status, and related transaction metadata needed to manage access and support requests.

We do not intentionally store full credit card numbers in Admission Yogi. Payment details are processed by the payment provider under its own security and privacy practices.

If you book a counselor session, scheduling information may be handled by a scheduling provider such as Calendly and used to deliver or manage the session.

How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts, personalize pathway and college-planning recommendations, show relevant dashboard content, support counselor/student workflows, process purchases, provide customer support, maintain security, debug errors, improve the service, and communicate important product or account updates.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand trends, improve recommendations, evaluate product quality, and plan new features. Aggregated or de-identified information is not intended to identify a specific student or family.

What we do not do

We do not sell student or family personal information.

We do not claim that providing information guarantees admission, scholarships, financial aid, or any specific college outcome.

We do not ask users to provide sensitive information that is not needed for college-planning guidance. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, full financial account numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive documents unless we specifically request them through an appropriate secure process.

When we share information

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate Admission Yogi, including hosting, authentication, database, analytics, payment, scheduling, email, logging, and customer-support providers. These providers are expected to use information only to provide services to us or to you.

We may share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

If a counselor is connected to a student account, the counselor may be able to view information needed to support that student’s planning experience.

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to reduce risk and keep access limited to legitimate product, support, and operational needs.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve Admission Yogi. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and account activity.

Your choices

You can choose what planning information to enter and update many profile details through the product. Some information may be required to create an account, provide access, or generate useful recommendations.

For help accessing, correcting, or deleting account information, contact us at admissionyogisupport@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request before making account changes.

Children and students

Admission Yogi is designed for college planning, including high-school students and their families. If a parent, guardian, school, or counselor believes a student’s information has been provided inappropriately, please contact us so we can review the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Admission Yogi changes. When we make updates, we will revise the effective date and post the updated policy on this page.
